Ideal for most skin types, dermaplaning is a safe and effective way to achieve a fresh, glowing complexion with no downtime. Dermaplaning is a no-downtime treatment—most people leave the spa with glowing, smooth skin and can return to daily activities immediately. However, some may experience mild redness or sensitivity for a few hours post-treatment. Things to Consider: Sun Sensitivity: Your skin will be more vulnerable to UV exposure. Apply broad-spectrum SPF 30+ daily and avoid direct sun exposure for at least 48 hours. Avoid Harsh Products: Skip exfoliants (like AHAs, BHAs, or retinoids) for 2–3 days before and after treatment to prevent irritation. We do not recommend this with our Retinol Facial all other facials are a great pair for dermaplaning. Hydration is Key: Drink water and use hydrating serums or moisturizers to help your skin retain its glow and stay balanced. Makeup Post-Treatment: You can wear makeup the next day, but many find they don’t need it due to their fresh, luminous skin. Breakouts: Dermaplaning does not typically cause breakouts, but if you're acne-prone, avoid it during active breakouts, as it can irritate or spread bacteria. Frequency: Treatments can be done every 4–6 weeks for optimal results.
